On days when they have events, I photograph EPIC Sports Marketing's races (photos here). They do a lot, but in short, they facilitate race events for athletes, including timing. Events like triathlons, duathlons, 5K's, 10K's, etc. My uncle Felix runs the company and runs the show on the event days. He brings his kids (my cousins Bryce and Grace) along and they also help anywhere they can. My dad, myself, my sister and mom have also been part of event days so it's kind of become a family affair in a way.
While I'm there with my camera, I figure I might as well snap some portraits of my cousins and send them to my uncle. I end up taking photos primarily of Bryce since he's usually the one closest to where I'm stationed. He also seems to be an aspiring photographer with a digital camera (as you can see in some of the photos below) and I get to teach him some things about photography.
In the last race, they chose to fill water cups and hand out waters to the athletes passing by them. But on downtime between racers, they drenched each other with water.
Here are photos from the past 3 races.
